You are here! I am so, so glad. So, come on in, sit down and take a break. I’d offer you a drink but it seems you already have one.
Have you ever noticed how the “good” things take a while? Take for example, laundry. And you know that great feeling you get when it’s all done? I love that feeling. I just wish it lasted longer than 12 seconds. Well, guess what, websites take time, too. Thankfully, I relied on Michelle and Claire at Passion Fruit Creative Group to build the site. They were fast and I think it is lovely.
I’m happy to finally be able to move in. I’m still arranging furniture (secret code for writing blogs), hanging pictures (code for posting pics) and doing some tutorials (okay, I can’t think of a secret code word for that. It’s 9:30 p.m. I’m tired. And, if you really know me, you know I aim to be in my pajamas by 6 p.m.)
My plan is to share my adventures and misadventures in quilting and sewing. I’ll share some tutorials. And, I’ll be sharing some pictures. However, I’m happy for you to let me know what you’d like to see. What would you like to see, hear or learn to do?
So, for your viewing pleasure, I’ll leave you with my latest quilt. It’s the logo of the retreat we are opening.
Annie, I was inspired by your quilt you made here for the retreat center. I hope you don’t mind, I’m going to make one and link it and my readers back to your blog and retreat center. I’m new to the DFW area and just joined the FWModern Quilt Guild, Trinity Valley QG, and will be joining Arlington’s Quilt Guild. I look forward to seeing what you’re up to and I like to SHARE good news… 🙂 Need pics of the retreat center itself. Is it open yet?? Best of luck!
Lois, How wonderful to hear from you! I would LOVE to see your quilt. I’m thrilled you are inspired! I will be opening the Hidden Star Retreat center later this month (God willing and the creeks don’t rise!) And, I’ll send you an invitation to the Grand Opening party (and post pics). Tomorrow the carpets are being cleaned (after remodeling) and the furniture is ordered. Thanks for stopping by! Annie
