Who doesn’t need a July 4th picnic quilt? Perfect throw size for watching the fireworks, for letting a little one rest or to sit on in the bleachers. It’s only 53 inches long and 42 inches wide.
I enjoyed making this July 4th picnic quilt and the curves in the flag stripes were tons of fun. I used It’s Sew Kind of Wonderful‘s Quick Curve Ruler to make the 9 blocks. It is a GREAT ruler. And, I mean it. The last 3-4 quilts I’ve made used their ruler. Their company service is awesome and I am a huge fan!
When I showed my friends, Carole Sue and Desiree, they commented that the backs of my quilts are never (rarely) plain. Why? Because I like surprises! So, I almost always piece the back and make it pretty, too!
For this quilt I used an Edge-to-Edge star pattern on my July 4th picnic quilt.
So, are you feeling patriotic? Are you inspired to make a July 4th picnic quilt?
Where can I get the patterns
I’m a terrible person leaving you hanging all that time! You want a pattern? WOW…I guess I will get busy and make one! How does that sound???
