I love this tablecloth. It’s by Moda Home. Bright, happy, spring colors. So I sat on it…for about 3 years now. When I came across it again recently, I thought about my friends, Carole Sue and Desiree. They are my besties. We’ve been through thick and thin together. Well, mostly thick but that’s a whole other discussion that we probably won’t have anytime soon. Anyhoo… Carole Sue is famous for saying, “When you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail.” Now, with me, as a quilter, everything looks like a quilt.”
When I saw this cutie I thought…. Wait… what? Could it be? Could this work? Does everything I see look like a quilt? I felt an idea coming on… and here she is. I quilted her. I used a floral border quilting design and I did horizontal and vertical straight lines to emphasize the stripes. I did some free motion outlining of the printed roses. I think is says spring. I think she’s a happy little quilt! Perfect picnic size at 53 inches by 53 inches.
